Coachella ella ella (SO OVERDUE!)

Coachella was such a good time. The people, the music, everything. We were fortunate enough to book a hotel room so in advance that we were literally 5 minutes away on foot. As someone who lives in a climate which averages 65 degrees and breezy, Coachella was a quite scorching- more so than L.A but I assume that is because it is not near a beach breeze. The Killers, Morrissey, Beirut, Jenny Lewis, and Silversun Pickup's were the bands/singers which I was most looking forward to. What fascinates me about Coachella is how everyone so easily meshes together, regardless of whether you are a celebrity or some kid from the slums. By chance I happened to meet Adrien Brody, Kirsten Dunst (cutest little thing ever!), and AGYNESS DEYN. At first I just stared at a far, unsure of whether or not it was her because I always imagine her with her short pixie but her hair was a bit longer, yet still up in pony tail. I have yet to find any photo's online but she was wearing the greatest studded converse. New DIY project? Maybe! I'm pretty bummed I didn't run into Chloe Sevigny. I swear I would have walked right up to hair and straight up asked for a size 10 in the amazing buckle up boots in her new Opening Ceremony line. Anyways, the photo's are from Day 2 (The Killers line-up day) because our memory card filled up and we didn't want to delete anything.

Britex

(ONE of the button walls)

Have you ever walked into a room and in the blink of an eye became completely anxious, bewildered, amazed, exhausted and overwhelmed? Well Britex Fabrics on Geary (in SF) is the epitome of all that. It is the Saks of all fabric stores. Four floors, yes I said four(4!) of linens, silk, cotton, prints, solids, buttons, left-overs, you name it. Rows upon rows, shelfs stacked high, and walls devoted to beautifully embroidered, gilded, silver, and jewel encrusted buttons. I spend nearly two hours riffling through some of the best fabric I have EVER seen. Any print, you name it, they have it. Grunge flowers, DVF-esque ethnic prints, stripes of any color, etc. I died. The downside is that the fabric may costs more than the store look-a-like garment, I mean $100 for 2.5 yards, yikes! But after drooling and awing in dismay for the first hour at the fabric and buttons, I just ran up to the room dedicated for scrap fabrics and bought several yards. Any fashion buff, future designer, or anyone interested in fabric should really check this place out just to say they did.

Spring Break has officially started. Unfortunately, all of my plans happen after it is over.

POST-SPRING BREAK EXTRAVAGANZA'S!
 - Britney Spears concert
 - Coachella, 3 Day Tickets (say what!) and a room at the motel/hotel like 3 blocks away. I booked the room months before the festivities and line-up were even announced.

A REAL Post

Faux Leather Jacket - Second Hand, Button Down Tank - HM

I am sorry I have been so neglectful, blogspot! I find myself becoming more of a blog reader than a blog writer. My life has not been so fascinating as of recently. I went to Amoeba on Telegraph a week ago for a free concert. I still don't understand why people yell Free Bird!

AH I am so anxious for summer, I honestly cannot think about it or I will lose my sanity. New York City for 3 week with my best friend taking photo's and painting all day. I am shaking.
???What are some good shops, cafe's, markets, hang out spots, etc, In NY???

Oh and so I do not forget! I received several questions in e-mails recently so I thought I would answer them.

Q: What do you use on your hair it is so healthy!
A: I use Pantene Restorative. I also use THIS. You can either put it in when your hair is damp or dry. It makes your hair really shiny but too much can make it look oily.

Q: Where did you get those buckle boots?
A: They are Fiorentini + Baker. Those specific ones aren't sold anymore but THIS one is similar. They're durable and comfortable, highly recommend.

Q: Where in San Francisco do you live?
A: Mission-Dolores area, I guess you could consider it that. But I don't go to Mission High!

Ohmygod, Shoes!

Alexander Wang and YSL sure do know the way to a girls heart.

Photos: Barneys and Saks.

D.A.N.C.E

(Blazer - Goodwill, Tank Top - AA, Jeans - H&M,)
I went to my best friends Ballet Recital the other day (in the middle). She is so amazingly talented, it is unbelievable. She has received her GED and is really focusing on her art. We will be in NYC together over the summer because she is going to attend the Bolshoi Summer Academy! I'm so excited!

P.S: I'll be posting some of my art later on!
